Richard Hanson was trained as an instructor by the RTITB and has been training for over 20 years, and his attention to every detail is reflected by his extremely high success rate. His personal, professional approach puts all our customers at ease straight away, but it is still clear that he is there to teach a skill.

Richard has now taken a back seat and it is his daughter Rebbecca that carries out the majority of the training.

What Others Say

Below are just a few of the testimonials that we have been provided with.

John Clay, Managing Director, Edward Clay & Son

“We at Edward Clay & son Ltd have found the FLT training from Richard Hanson at ASPPA to have been very good.

Richard is both flexible and deals with our staff in a very friendly manor.

We have no hesitation in recommending him to other firms.”

Julie Owen, Director of Horse Powered, Huddersfield

“We used ASPPA forklift training services to train all our staff in December 2008.

The training sessions were well planned and easy to follow. The practical sessions were tailored to suit our own individual requirements. As a female who had never even sat on a forklift before I was extremely nervous. I needn’t have worried; I followed the instructions and excellent practical tutoring and…practice made perfect!

I will certainly use the services of ASPPA for any future requirements. Thank you.”

Andrew Abbott, Best Training Limited

I first contacted Richard at ASPPA in 2007, I knew of him by reputation, all good! And upon meeting him realised it was well deserved. Over the last 3 years Richard has trained many of our learners and has a fantastic success rate. I had no hesitation in recommending ASPPA to other Best branches, and they are also delighted with the service received.

FAQ

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact us.

  • If I hold a certification for one truck e.g. Reach Truck, can I operate any lift truck e.g. Counter Balance

No. A conversion course must be completed. Training must be received to be able to operate different trucks.

  • I only use a Fork Lift once a day do I need training?

Yes you need to be fully trained on any type of forklift truck by a registered instructor.

  • How many persons can be trained in one day?

All courses vary from one day to a whole week, for more details please email.

  • How long will a truck licence last?

There is no limit on how long the licence will last but ASPPA and the HSE recommends that operators have refresher courses. Refresher courses should be held if the operator has not had a refresh in the last 1 to 2 years, if the operator is new to the company and is not accustomed to driving your type of truck, if you believe the operator is driving dangerously or has had a near miss/accident.
